The TAS5411-Q1 is a mono Class D audio amplifier ideally suited for automotive emergency call (eCall), telematics, and dashboard applications. Powered by a 14.4 VDC automotive battery, the device delivers up to 8W of power with a 4Ω load and THD+N not exceeding 10%. The device's wide operating voltage range and excellent efficiency make it ideal for use when start-stop support or battery backup operation is required. Integrated load-drop protection reduces the cost and size of external voltage clamp circuits, and on-board load diagnostics report speaker status via I2C.
With the high efficiency of the TAS5411, telematics systems can run for extended periods of time on battery backup power.
The TAS5411 delivers 8W of power to a 4Ω load from a 14.4V supply.
The TAS5411's wide supply voltage capability (from 4.5V to 18-V) provides additional system flexibility through multiple battery management topologies.
With integrated I2C diagnostics and protection, the TAS5411 is designed to meet and exceed the highest automotive quality and reliability standards.
The TAS5411's CISPR25-L5 compliant EMC performance simplifies system design, reduces development costs and shortens time to market.
The TAS5411Q1EVM operates without I2C initialization and features an on-board USB-I2C controller for GUI-driven control and integrated diagnostic evaluation.
